Summer Home Tip: Start with Your Sheets

As temperatures rise, your bedding can make a bigger difference than you think. If you’re waking up warm, it may be time to swap heavier fabrics for breathable natural fibers.

A few summer favorites:

• Bamboo — soft, silky, and naturally moisture-wicking. It’s known for excellent temperature regulation, helping keep you comfortable in both summer and winter.

• Percale Cotton — crisp, cool, and hotel-sheet worthy. Look for a thread count under 400, as higher thread counts can reduce airflow and trap more heat.

• Linen — lightweight, airy, and gets softer with every wash. A great choice for hot sleepers, linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture before feeling damp.

A simple sheet swap can make your bedroom feel cooler, fresher, and more comfortable all season long.

Personally, I’ve had good experiences with bedding from Brooklinen and Quince. Both offer quality sheets in a range of materials and colors, making it easy to find something that fits your sleep style and aesthetic.
