Living in 3Roots

When people ask what makes 3Roots different, I rarely start by talking about the homes.

As a resident, what stands out most is how intentionally the community was designed for everyday life. The trails connect neighborhoods, the recreation center stays active throughout the day, and parks become gathering places where neighbors naturally run into one another.

Many communities have amenities. In 3Roots, they’re places you’ll naturally find yourself using throughout the week.

Soom Insight: It’s not just that 3Roots has great amenities—it’s that nearly every front door is within walking distance of them.

The Recreation Center

At the center of 3Roots is the community recreation center, a gathering place that brings together fitness, wellness, recreation, and social connection. The facility serves as a hub for wellness, recreation, and community connection.

One of the biggest lifestyle benefits of living in 3Roots is the ability to walk to a workout, fitness class, pool, or neighborhood gathering—all just steps from home.

Highlights include:

  • Fully equipped fitness center
  • Group fitness classes (yoga, Pilates, HIIT & hip-hop)
  • Lap pool for fitness & training
  • Recreation pool with beach-entry design
  • Spa & sauna
  • Poolside cabanas & lounge chairs
  • Outdoor BBQ & social spaces
  • Recreation center for meetings & events
  • Year-round community programming

Trails & Open Space

One of my favorite things about living in 3Roots is that you don’t have to get in the car to enjoy the outdoors—it starts right outside your front door.

A network of neighborhood trails and open space connects different parts of the community, making it easy to walk, run, or simply get outside for a few minutes.

One of the most useful connections is the 3Roots–Parkdale Trail, which links the community to Jonas Salk Elementary School, Maddox Park along Flanders Drive, and Challenger Middle School.

Parks & Playgrounds

3Roots isn’t home to just one neighborhood park. Smaller gathering spaces are woven throughout the community, giving residents places to play, relax, and connect close to home.

You’ll find:

  • Adventure-style climbing structures (“parkour” style)
  • Traditional playgrounds with slides and swings
  • Sand play areas for younger children
  • Basketball courts
  • Expansive lawns for picnics, community events, and pickup games
  • Plenty of shaded seating throughout

Whether kids are burning off energy after school or neighbors are spreading out a blanket for an evening concert, these spaces help bring the community together.

Community Events

Beyond the physical amenities, 3Roots regularly hosts community events that bring neighbors together throughout the year—from seasonal celebrations to wine nights and family activities.

It’s one of the reasons many residents quickly get to know the people around them.
